About Clevor Cards
Clevor Card is the world’s first smartcard combining three identity-and-payment functions on one ultra-secure NFC card: EMV payments (the same standard your bank card uses), a self-custody Web3 crypto wallet, and a FIDO2 hardware security key for passwordless authentication.
Who makes Clevor Card
Clevor Card is developed by Clevor SA, a sister company of Cryptnox SA — a Swiss hardware-security company founded in 2019 in Carouge, Geneva. Cryptnox already ships FIDO2-certified NFC security keys and smart card hardware wallets running on the same secure-element platform (NXP JCOP with Common Criteria EAL 6+ and FIPS 140-2 Level 3 certification).
Clevor Card extends that platform with EMV payment rails on the same card — letting one credential do web authentication, crypto self-custody, and traditional card payments.
Not to be confused with…
Clevor Card is not related to Klever (klever.io), Zykur, or any other crypto wallet brand with a similar-sounding name. Clevor is a Swiss company; the spelling is Clevor, with the “e” before the “v”. Our parent Cryptnox is well-established in the FIDO2 and crypto hardware-wallet industry since 2019.
What makes the card different
- One card, three jobs: EMV payment, Web3 crypto wallet, FIDO2 security key — no separate device per function.
- NFC smart-card form factor: fits in a wallet cardholder slot. No batteries, no charging, no cables.
- Self-custody by design: private keys generated on-card by a certified secure element; they never leave the chip.
- Compatible with existing infrastructure: works with any contactless EMV terminal for payments, with any FIDO2/WebAuthn service for sign-in, and with Web3 wallets that support smart-card signing.
